Welcome to my academic website! I'm Ziv Ben-Zion, and I am delighted to share my research and academic pursuits with you. I am a faculty member at the School of Public Health at the University of Haifa, where I dedicate my time to understanding the intricate connections between the brain, behavior, and well-being. My primary focus lies in leveraging neuroimaging, computational modeling, and interdisciplinary collaborations to investigate and address pressing issues in mental health, including post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and the ethical implications of emotionally responsive AI.
Here you'll find information about my research projects, publications, and other academic activities. I'm particularly proud of my recent work published in journals like Nature, JAMA Network Open, and npj Digital Medicine, which delve into the development of mandatory safeguards for emotionally responsive AI, predictive modeling of PTSD, and methods for assessing and alleviating state anxiety in large language models. I hope this website provides a comprehensive overview of my contributions to the field and serves as a valuable resource for fellow researchers, students, and anyone interested in the fascinating world of neuroscience and mental health.
